Jim Curry was born in Newaygo County, Michigan and graduated from Western Michigan University where he was awarded a BS in Education.

He entered the Navy’s pilot training program in 1958 and served aboard Aircraft Carriers deploying to the Mediterranean and Western Pacific. He flew RF-8G Photo Reconnaissance aircraft in his first squadron tour and then F-4 Fighters in Viet Nam completing 174 combat missions.

Other assignments included a tour as an instructor in the Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun), Test Pilot at NAS Patuxent River Maryland, and Deputy Naval Inspector General. He attended the Naval War College where he also earned an MS in International Affairs from the George Washington University.

As commanding officer of VF-151, an F-4 Fighter Squadron based aboard the USS Midway, and was homeported in Japan for two and one half years. He is a graduate of the National War College.

He is currently a Program Manager with Bowhead Support Services providing support to the PMA-263 UAV Program Office. He has worked with UAV programs for 11 years.
