Tim Piester - Secretary Tim Piester has an unique understanding of the personnel, organization, facilities and equipment, mission and challenges of the Program Executive Office for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons [PEO(W)] and the Navy and Marine Corps UAS Program Offices, PMA-262 Persistent Information Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), PMA-263 Small Tactical UASs, PMA-266 Tactical ISR; Unmanned Combat Aircraft System (UCAS) Advanced Development Program Office and Common System Integration through his direct support over the last nine (12) years providing engineering services to and functioning as an integral member of the various UAS Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to include but not limited to System Engineering; Platform/System Integration, land-based and sea-based; Tactical Software; and Test and Evaluation (T&E). He also served as a consultant/SME for the UAS/Range Safety Study for manned aircraft/UAS operational procedures and assisted in the development of Range Safety Criteria for UASs. Tim Piester has been providing system engineering support in all phases the unmanned systems program development, including requirements analysis, system architecture, software and hardware design, and system integration He also has analyzed system requirements and reviewed the derived software and hardware requirements for the System Performance Specifications, Software Requirements Specification (SRS), etc. He has assisted in the development of the Functional Qualification Test (FQT), System Integration and Test (SIT), and Acceptance Test (AT) Plans and Procedures that test the internal and external interfaces of unmanned vehicle systems and the overall TCS system performance against the requirements. He has represented the Navy and Marine Corps UAS Program Office's interests and voice at numerous System Engineering Meetings to include the Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) hosted by the Unmanned System Prime Contractors. |
